Wood Service

We service a wide variety of wood-burning appliances, including wood stoves, wood inserts, zero-clearance fireplaces, masonry fireplaces, and wood furnaces.

Service Rates

Standard Service: $200 per hour, with a one-hour minimum.
Two-Technician Service: $250 per hour, with a one-hour minimum.

All initial service calls are scheduled as two-technician appointments at the two-technician rate. This allows us to safely and efficiently accommodate a variety of situations, including tall chimneys, difficult-to-access systems, larger appliances, or situations where additional assistance may be required.

Following the initial service visit, future appointments may be scheduled with a single technician when appropriate and based on the requirements of the appliance and chimney system.

After the initial one-hour minimum, service time is prorated in 15-minute increments.

What does service entail?

A typical wood-burning fireplace service includes a thorough cleaning, chimney sweeping, and Level I inspection of the fireplace and venting system. Our technicians clean the flue and fireplace components to remove accumulated creosote, soot, and debris while evaluating the system for proper condition and operation.

The Level I inspection is designed to evaluate the readily accessible components of the fireplace and chimney and identify visible concerns that may affect safe and proper operation. A thorough cleaning also allows our technicians to better inspect the appliance and identify potential maintenance or repair needs.

If issues are identified, we will discuss our findings with the homeowner and, when appropriate, may replace necessary components during the appointment or develop a plan to obtain the required parts and complete the repairs.

Once service and any necessary repairs are complete, our technician will review the proper operation of the fireplace with the homeowner and provide recommendations for ongoing maintenance and safe use.
